The Energy Ladder
Our Pay As You Go (PAYGO) financing option allows families of all economic levels access to high quality solar products. We offer families an extended warranty on their purchase. Our model allows families to progressively purchase larger solar systems in small installments, climb the energy ladder.
We provide easy to install solar kits with minimal upkeep requirements and they are built to last so our clients are ensured the highest quality products on the market.
Meet the Solubrite team
Mr. Henrich, CEO, founded Solubrite in 2013 after traveling extensively throughout Nicaragua and Panama and realizing the extreme lack of high quality solar products offered to low income families in rural areas. He spent the first two years developing significant last mile distribution partnerships within both countries and researching the best solar products on the market. He is currently focused on developing a Pay As You Go model optimized for the Central American context. Previous to Solubrite, Mr. Henrich was CEO of Chill Productions, a video post-production company he founded in early 1990's. After living in Laos for a year, he launched his career as a social entrepreneur in 2010 when he created Ecodana, a crowdfunding website used to raise funds for environmental projects in SE Asia and Central America. Mr. Henrich has an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute.
Janeth Castillo, Operations Manager in Panama, joined the Solubrite team in March 2018. Janeth is an electrical engineer, has a postgraduate degree in Executive Management and team leadership. She also has a diploma in evaluation, formulation and project management. She has worked in the telecommunications and technology industry, and has over 10 years experience as manager of operations and maintenance of electrical infrastructures.
Claudia Cecilia Vallecillo
Ms. Vallecillo, Director of PAYG program,Nicaragua. She has over 7 years of experience in project development and financial analysis. She began her career as an agricultural advisor where she gained experience working in rural communities. Ms. Vallecillo developed her customer service and sales skills while she held the role of Sales Manager for Estilo Dos S.A. In 2014 she took on the role of Strategic Operations Consultant for Imperial Textiles. In this role she performed financial analyses and created a model that optimized the efficiency of production. Ms. Vallecillo joined the Solubrite team in 2016 and has assisted in the design and implementation of a Pay As You Go technology program. Ms. Vallecillo graduated from Universidad Nacional de Ingeneria, Nicaragua with a Bachelor in Agricultural Engineering. She then received her Masters in Business Administration from INCAE Business School, Costa Rica.
Mr. Midence, Director of Nicaragua Operations, began his career as a Customer Service Agent for Accedo Technology. In 2013, he transitioned to the role of Import/Export Manager for Industria Textileria in Managua, Nicaragua. In this position, Mr. Midence developed purchase orders, coordinated the exportation of ordered products, and maintained an effective data management system to track all shipments and deliveries. He joined the Solubrite team in 2014. In the past two years he has developed a network of partnerships with over 30 governmental and non-governmental organizations, coordinated with 18 private vendors and has grown sales by 50%. Mr. Midence oversees all in-country logistics including inventory management, accounting management and continues to expand Solubrite sales. He graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria with his Bachelor in Industrial Engineering. He also received his Masters Degree in Logistics from the Universidad Politecnica de Nicaragua.
Mr. Rojas, Veraguas Regional Manager, started his career as a medical professional with the Panamanian Ministry of Health. He provided medical treatment to low income individuals living in difficult access communities throughout Panama. In this position he gained experience on how to effectively work and communicate with families living at the last mile. Mr. Rojas joined the Solubrite team in 2014 and oversees all operations in the Veraguas province, including developing partnerships with governmental and nongovernmental organizations and managing sales accounts in the region. He continues to be instrumental in developing the Pay As You Go program in the region. Mr. Rojas graduated with his Doctorate in Medicine from La Universidad Latina de Panama. He also spent a year of his studies in Costa Rica at The Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica, Costa Rica (UACA).
Jorge Adalberto Pinto
Jorge is from Santiago de Veraguas, Panama, where he got his Commerce Degree at the Omar Torrijos Herrera Institute. He got his Masters from Universidad de Panamá. Jorge previously worked as a credit officer at two recognized financial institutions in Panama, Banco Delta and Centro Financiero Empresarial. He then joined the international non profit Global Brigades, where he was part of the business program overseeing the Community Banks. Jorge enjoys interacting with everyone he meets during his field visits, as well as with his co-workers.
